Your child is still very much a part of you and will forever remain in your heart.
Early Pregnancy Loss
When a miscarriage takes place, a woman’s world is immediately turned upside down. She is now thrown into a fast reversal of thinking, and the impact of the sudden loss is devastating. So much happiness was focused on dreams for the future and now parents are forced to recognize their loss and work through their grief.
We would like you to know that there are options regarding what happens to your baby following a miscarriage. The staff at Kozlak-Radulovich Chapel is here to help you arrange for burial, cremation, or even a simple memorial tribute such as a butterfly release or candle lighting service.
If cremation or burial isn’t an option, our caring staff can help you to create a keepsake to honor your baby. One of the difficulties of an early pregnancy loss is the lack of tangible mementos of your child. Simply creating a book that includes journal entries from when you found out you were expecting, names you and your partner shared with one another, a sonogram photo if you have one, appointment cards, poems and other photos will be treasured for a lifetime.
Infant Loss
You are not alone.
The passing of a baby is perhaps the most painful loss a family can experience—no matter when or how it occurs. Sadly, many people do not understand the intense grief that a mother or father suffers after the loss of an unborn or recently born child.
But you are not alone. At Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapels, we understand the profound love you feel for the baby you carried in your womb or held in your arms—even if it was only for a short time. We are here to guide you through this difficult grieving process.
A Chance to Say Goodbye
Just like anyone else suffering from a loss, parents of a baby born into rest deserve a chance to give their child a proper farewell. If your baby passed away before or soon after birth, you may have only a few precious memories to cherish. However, your baby will always be a part of your life—and we can help you remember and pay tribute to your child.
We encourage grieving parents to create a baby book or keepsake box and fill it with hospital records, ultrasound pictures, blankets, photos, certificates, sympathy cards and baby clothing. Many parents choose to give their baby a name to honor their child’s life—no matter how brief it may have been. We can also help you arrange a funeral or memorial service in which you can affirm your love for your child, say goodbye and find peace.
